Killing Of 3 Nigerians In South Africa Worries Federal Government

The recent killing of three Nigerians in South Africa between 14th and 17th of November, 2022 worries the federal government, Adadareporters.com gathered.

The expression of worries was contained in a release by the Consulate General of Nigeria in Johannesburg. It was gathered that the killings happened in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

According to the Consulate, the incident is a result of intra-community violence that had not been adequately managed. FG however cautioned against reprisals, promising that efforts were on top gear to curb the escalation of the crisis between it and South Africa authorities.

According to the statement, “The Consulate General of Nigeria is saddened by the latest reports of killings of Nigerians in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).

“Preliminary accounts indicate that three Nigerians were shot and killed between 14th and 17th November 2022 due to intra-community violence that has not been adequately managed. This is a source of grave concern to the Mission and well-meaning Nigerians.”
