Girl Abducted In Lokoja Escapes, Found In Imo

Missing sixteen-year-old Khadizat Labran has been found along Nkwerre road in Imo State.

The Imo State Police Command stated this in a release signed by its public relations officer, ASP Henry Okoye. The release described the girl as ‘dark in complexion, 4ft tall, no tribal marks and speaks pigin English fluently’.

The release read, “She was rescued by a good Samaritan on 25/07/2023, who saw her wandering about along the road within Nkwerre and subsequently took her to Nkwerre Police Station.

“She claims to hail from Lokoja in Kogi State and also stated that she was abducted by unknown men at Ganaja junction in Lokoja, who blindfolded her and took her to a bush before she eventually escaped.”

The police called on ‘members of the public who know the young girl or her parents to call the police public relations department, Owerri, on 08148024755 and assist in reuniting her with her parents’.
