EU Accuses INEC, APC Of Destroying Nigeria’s Electoral System

The ruling All Progressives Congress came into government with the game plan to destroy Nigeria’s democracy, and they have succeeded in doing so in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Comrade Iyke Newman Nkemdirim, public relations officer, Eastern Union, stated this while reacting to results of the off-season guber polls in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa states. APC won in Imo and Kogi while Peoples Democratic Party won in Bayelsa.

Nkemdirim stated that, “Opposition parties in Nigerian should consider boycotting future elections and leave them to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to conduct and allocate positions as they please.

“Alternatively, the need for electronic -voting should commence in earnest. INEC has been announcing results in local governments where no elections were conducted, which clearly indicates electoral misconduct. Despite the election results being written many days before, the opposition parties still campaigned for elective positions, giving the world the impression that all is well.

“It appeared they didn’t learn anything from Feb 18, 2023. The APC came to power to destroy democracy, and they have succeeded in doing so. A country’s leadership determines its success, and Nigeria is no exception. By participating in their sham of an election, Nigerians unwittingly gave the outside world the impression that everything is right with Nigeria despite the country being in a critical condition.

“The APC rigged the election to ensure they remained in elective positions to continue the destruction of the economy. They have nothing whatsoever to offer the people, yet they are busy buying over INEC and other gullible citizens.”

He commended support groups and diasporans for showing ‘stellar performances in the last elections, adding that, “A lesson to take away from the last elections was the need for e – voting and it is an idea whose time has come.”
