Kanu Not Going To Court Tuesday, No Sit-At-Home – Ejiofor

By Adadainfo
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will not be in court tomorrow, hence, rumours of sit-at-home should be ignored.
Kanu’s lead counsel Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor stated this on Monday in a release made available to newsmen in Owerri.
He was reacting to rumours that traders, especially in Onitsha, Anambra State, were being ordered to close shop tomorrow in honour of Kanu.
Kanu is the founder of the Indigenous People of Biafra, which is agitating for the actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafran. He is standing trial before an FCT High Court over alleged running a proscribed group and jumping bail in 2017.
Ejiofor stated that, “Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no court case tomorrow, and as such, shall not be appearing in court tomorrow.
“ONYENDU’s Appeal  No CA/ABJ/CR/ 625/2022 between Nnamdi Kanu vs the Federal Republic of Nigeria originally scheduled to be heard tomorrow the 11th Day of October 2022 was brought forward and accordingly heard on the 13th September 2022, now awaiting judgement. As such tomorrow’s earlier date has been vacated.
“Our people should stop paying undeserved attention to rumours, and mischief-makers. I was compelled to issue this clarification because it has just been brought to my attention that some market leaders in Onitsha have started directing the closure of markets for tomorrow being 11th Day of October 2022.
“The members of the public should be adequately informed any day our indefatigable client-  Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu – will be appearing in court.
“Thank you all, and remain blessed Ezigbo Umuchineke.”
